How every calculator and guide on Anchor AI Tools is written, tested, sourced, updated and corrected.

1. Every calculator shows its method

Each calculator page explains the formula it uses in plain words and shows it in a formula box, so you can repeat the sum by hand. Where a tool relies on assumptions, such as average regional costs, those assumptions are stated on the page.

2. How tools are tested

  1. Worked examples first. Each page includes at least one worked example with real numbers, and the tool must reproduce it exactly.
  2. Edge cases. Zero, blank, very large and invalid values are tried so the tool gives a clear message instead of a wrong answer.
  3. After every change. When a formula, rate or layout changes, the worked examples are checked again before the page is republished.

3. Sources for rates and rules

Tax rates, fees and legal rules change. Pages that use them point to the official source where one exists, such as a state tax authority or the US Department of Labor, and show the date the figures were last checked. Cost estimators use typical price ranges and are labelled as planning estimates.

4. Updates and review dates

Pages with tax rates, fees or cost data are reviewed when the underlying rules change and at least once a year.

5. Corrections

If you find an error, email hello@anchoraitools.com with the page address and what looks wrong. Reports are checked against the formula and source. Confirmed errors are fixed, the page is re-dated, and significant corrections are noted on the page.

6. Privacy by design

Calculators run in your browser and do not store what you enter. PDF tools process files in your browser without uploading them. Details are in our privacy policy.

7. Advertising and independence

The website is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no say over which tools are built, how they calculate, or what pages say. Ads are kept clearly separate from tools and are never placed inside a calculator or styled to look like a button.

8. What the tools are not

The tools give general estimates. They are not financial, legal, tax, payroll or construction advice. For important decisions, confirm figures with a qualified professional.
